Ahead of the G20 Summit in Hamburg, the Director of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and global health expert, Professor Peter Piot, has authored an article calling for ‘a global assault on drug-resistant TB’; while the Financial Times’ Andrew Jack has highlighted the ‘catalogue of health problems’ confronting world leaders including TB.

On 28 June, during a debate on the Queen’s Speech, the APPG’s Co-Chair Virendra Sharma MP also called on the Government to ensure that TB is prioritised in any G20 agreement on research and development to tackle AMR.
