APPG participates in World Lung Conference in Liverpool

Together with RESULTS UK, the APPG on Global Tuberculosis hosted a panel discussion on 'Championing the political will to end TB' at the Union World Lung Health Conference taking place in Liverpool.

The discussion was chaired by the APPG's Adviser, Dan Sharp, and featured contributions from TB campaigners, health professionals and the APPG's Vice Chair, Baroness Suttie, who spoke about how civil society can best create a dialogue with government and politicians to harness the power of political engagement and work towards ending TB:

The Union World Conference on Lung Health is the world’s largest gathering of clinicians and public health workers, health programme managers, policymakers, researchers and advocates working to end the suffering caused by lung disease, with a focus specifically on the challenges faced by the low- and middle-income countries.
